CDSM nominated PhD academic mediators. They are faculties qualified to help solving conflict between the supervisor and the PhD student, they are completely independent from the PhD course governance and report directly to the Deputy Rector for graduate students. Currently, the CDSM mediators are prof. Lisa Dalla Via and Luca Dell'Amico . 

The mediator intervenes in the relationship in cases of conflict between the supervisor and the PhD student.
Pushing the disputing parties to talk to each other and identify mutually acceptable solutions to the ongoing conflict. Conflict should be seen
as a process that evolves from conditions preceding the conflict and leads to negative consequences only if it escalates.
