Each year, a new cohort of PhD students joins the MST Programme, bringing diverse academic backgrounds spanning Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, and Materials Engineering. Around 10% of students come from abroad, reflecting the international character of the programme. After completing their doctoral studies, graduates pursue careers across two main paths: approximately half go on to postdoctoral or research positions at universities and research centres in Italy and abroad, while the remaining half move into research and development roles in private industry.
