Theoretical Courses
Advanced theoretical courses are offered on relevant scientific topics by members of the Academic Board and/or external (international) experts. These courses are specifically prepared for CDSM and the topics are treated at the PhD-level. Each course has a duration of 24 hours and is concluded with a final examination which has to be passed by the participating students.
Procedure for choosing the theoretical courses
The theoretical course program is defined on a biannual basis and the courses for the current year are confirmed in March. This will be communicated by the CDSM-administration.
Following confirmation, students (first and second year) choose the courses to be followed in the current year. On this occasion students may also propose an external school/workshop/course as alternative provided that it meets the criteria.
First year students also indicate a preliminary choice for the courses followed in the second year. A definite choice will be made in the second year.
